Welcome to the Bruce Stone space

This Wiki space started out as a blog called 'MoreBruce', created by Michael Barry in response to some musings about memorials, Bruce, and memorializing Bruce. We wanted MORE Bruce Stone, as his untimely death has denied his sizable circle of friends the pleasure and satisfaction of his ongoing shared presence and companionship. Morebruce held out a promise of fresh encounters with Bruce through our shared experiences -- some reflection of Bruce's spontaneity and his ability to change, grow, and surprise. It began with the email tributes from Bruce's buddies in the DC Hash House Harriers running group, compiled by the group for Julie Witcover and Kay Stone, full of Bruce stories and interspersed with Bruce pictures. It grew into a wiki to free the format and make adding materials more accessible to more people.

We must go on without him, but hopefully this space will allow us all to continue to remember and share the experiences and memories of Bruce that we all have. And, in so doing, this memorial will also help to give those who did not know Bruce some insight into this truly remarkable and unique person, the likes of which we shall not see again. It is noteworthy that, even though Bruce is no longer with us physically, he is still with us by virtue of our knowing him, and we can still reap the benefits of having known him by keeping that memory fresh.
